Another half a year...

Well, after a weekend full of house hunting we found out that we can not get out of our lease so we will be staying where we are for the time being. Hopefully will buy a house in November or December. God always has a perfect timing in all things so we know that there is a reason we are not buying a house right now. I do know that when we buy our first house I want to plant a pink dogwood in the yard...

Otherwise I still have a lot going on with a final on Monday and Tuesday and then my paper due on Friday. It is crazy how fast time has gone by. This has been one of the most challenging semesters of grad school so far...and I have loved every moment of it...well, except the one week when I thought I might just go crazy!

We have finally found a Church that we LOVE more than words can express. Our Church is the kind of Church I have looked for ever since coming home from India. Discipleship is number one there and the people are amazing. They really seek to protect the purity of the Church and we love that. We love that the people are genuine and truly love the Lord which plays out in how everyone cares about each other. We have never felt more like a Church family than we do at Crossroad and we can not thank God enough for leading us there! We are praying about our involvement there and all I can say is that I am totally stoked about the possibilities! God is so amazing and good.

I am working on reading through the New Testament and so far am in Hebrews. This morning these are the verses that struck me:

Hebrews 3: 12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.

House Hunting...

We are contemplating buying a house...and I am not sure what to think...We found a couple of cute places...it is just so expensive to live around here...I am a little nervous as I don't want to get in over our heads...but we don't really want to keep throwing rent money away either...I guess a lot of American's do it...I just wonder if this is going to be our time...How does everyone decide what is the right price range for buying their house? I ultimately would like to purchase something on just one of our incomes so we are not dependent upon two to pay our bills...but I just don't know...I guess we will see what God provides.

Busy busy busy!

I am not updating much because I am coming to the end of my semester which means I have a TON of school work to do! I am working on finishing up a 20 page paper and then hopefully school work on through finals will be a breeze!

What I have been up to is turning 30! It is crazy how fast time flies by! I can not believe that I have made it through 3 decades! I had a great day! Jon started it off by making me breakfast in bed, then I went to the spa where I got my hair cut and had an AWESOME spa pedicure! After that Jon and I went for a quiet lunch and finished that off with my favorite birthday cake ice cream from Cold Stone. Later that evening Jon invited some friends over so we ate a ton of food which Jon made, and then hung out and played with the Wii. Jon did an amazing job making my 30th special. I am married to a truly wonderful man. God gave me a great gift when He chose Jon to be my husband. He is always loving me and seeking what is best for me...always ready to make me smile. I am ready for the summer that is for sure! Hopefully I will be able to update more once the semester closes!

Indy in April

Jon and I just got back from our 2nd Anniversary trip to Indy. We had a great time just spending time together, and well, shopping. :) It is crazy to think that two years has already gone by! We were hugely blessed by a free upgrade to a King Suite with floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides of the room. We had an awesome panoramic view of the city! They even greeted us with free chocolate covered strawberries which were amazing!
We spent the actual day of our Anniversary roaming the city, including the park...and taking tons of pictures to remember our day.
Indianapolis has a river and canal running through the down town...
Walking the Canal made me miss my days of ambling along the River Walk in San Antonio...and so we made plans for one of our anniversary trips to be to the River Walk and the stomping grounds of my childhood.
We had a great time and are already looking forward to next year!
