Another half a year...

Well, after a weekend full of house hunting we found out that we can not get out of our lease so we will be staying where we are for the time being. Hopefully will buy a house in November or December. God always has a perfect timing in all things so we know that there is a reason we are not buying a house right now. I do know that when we buy our first house I want to plant a pink dogwood in the yard...

Otherwise I still have a lot going on with a final on Monday and Tuesday and then my paper due on Friday. It is crazy how fast time has gone by. This has been one of the most challenging semesters of grad school so far...and I have loved every moment of it...well, except the one week when I thought I might just go crazy!

We have finally found a Church that we LOVE more than words can express. Our Church is the kind of Church I have looked for ever since coming home from India. Discipleship is number one there and the people are amazing. They really seek to protect the purity of the Church and we love that. We love that the people are genuine and truly love the Lord which plays out in how everyone cares about each other. We have never felt more like a Church family than we do at Crossroad and we can not thank God enough for leading us there! We are praying about our involvement there and all I can say is that I am totally stoked about the possibilities! God is so amazing and good.

I am working on reading through the New Testament and so far am in Hebrews. This morning these are the verses that struck me:

Hebrews 3: 12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.

Sorry to hear about the house time frame, but the Lord knows best and I know we go back and forth on selling, buying or building, but then I realized I was coveting more than it being a need and I have total contentment with our home. Aren't we glad His ways are not our ways. Good luck with the rest of your semester!!
