At FSU they had speed "bumps" that were so wide I used to called them speed plateaus. I was excited (well, I pretty much HATE speed bumps, but if you are gonna have to drive over them I get excited about certain ones) that my campus here put a few almostish plateaus instead of those skinny even more horrible ones to go over in certian places...then recently they put speed bumps on top of the speed plateaus already in place...ridiculous. And, on my way to my office after dropping off my husband I have to drive over 6 speed bumps in less than 1/4 mile. Two of the speed bumps are not even 20 feet from each other...I mean seriously...can you gain THAT much speed in 20 feet? One thing I remember hating about under-grad...speed bumps...and now grad school...speed bumps....
