Culture shock issue:

Do ALL American toilets have the flush handle on the left hand side??? Flushing is AWKWARD I tell you, AWKWARD!! What side is your flush handle on???

Edit: ha ha, as I sat here thinking about it, I suppose the side on which the handle is on depends upon if you flush after you have gotten up and are facing the toilet, or not...it is on the left hand side if you flush after you have gotten up...but then again, how many of us flush while we are sitting down??...good to know THESE are the DEEP thoughts I am having upon my return home from overseas...

I am home.

Over 50 hours after my departure from India I was able to walk off my last plane into the arms of my big sis who was holding a big awesome sign which you can see at her site, and head to the place of my childhood, only minus two pieces of luggage.

I forgot how beautiful this place is...I am surrounded by green glad hills, fresh air, a beautiful lake, and my family. I can sit on the porch of my house in a rocking chair and look upon the Tennessee hills and the lake. I can actually look up and see the stars at night...

Here is a little pic of me and Isabella, my WAY too cute niece...

Those who have gone before speak of culture shock...so far I am doing OK. It is GOOD to be home.

The Best Friend got here and it SUCKS to have her here. I guess two years really can change a lot between two people. I feel like such a jerk...

PSYCH!!!

Just a little volunteer team wordage for you. Us leaders are working PSYCH into the lingo of our vols...we have a bet to see how many we can get saying it when they leave to go home. Bring back the oldies baby!!
On another note: I went back to the Orphanage that I visited for a few hours back in December. Some of the girls were gathered on the stairs as we walked up, and they started calling my name. All this time later they still remembered me.

It broke my heart.

I can't quite put it into words.
