The sex industry in this country is out of control. It is so sad to me. Tonight I heard a man, proposition a young Thai girl, which was actually a guy dressed as a girl, how much. And you want to know what he/she said? 200 Bhat! Do you know how much that is...I wanted to cry on the way home.

I am ready to be away from here. How can all of this be going on in such magnitude? How must all of these guys and girls feel in their hearts? Why is so much of the world the way it is and I feel utterly helpless to do anything to change anything?

On an India note, the people in charge of allocating the tsunami relief to the people of India are NOT giving help to the poor. Those they consider the lower casts. The ones who need the help the most...UGH!!

On a personal note:
I want to find what "makes me come alive" and do it.

Need to post, need to post...I am stuck, yes I said it, stuck in Bangkok, for at least a week. We will see what I can get into to keep myself busy for the next week. I have longing memories of my bed back home...wonder when I will see it next...When visa granting man decides to give me one back to the country in which it lay vacant...that is when...

I am now an Aunt to little Isabella, and really enjoyed my visit to Malaysia, which included visiting my good friend Erika. Least favorite part of my trip? Nazi hair care Malay guy who decided to take my disagreement about needing a VERY expensive treatment for my, despite his opinion of it being DRY, hair out on my poor locks and charged me for a hair cut which I barely received. Ugh. I have pictures to post and will probably do that when I get home...whenever that might be...For now there are a few on Erika's site. OH, and second least favorite? Indian High Commission Man. Enough said. Malaysia is one of my fav countries though. I loved it and you know, they have a Chili's there...yum, yum.

Oh, and how did you all spend your New Years? Me, after a Church service, stuck in a rather small elevator with 11 other people in an Indian hotel with NO CALL FOR HELP BUTTON! Good thing I had my cell phone to call and inform the staff there were a group of Americans all crammed into an elevator stuck between the 3rd and 4th floor. My fav quote from the experience "HANDS UP".  :) I will post pics when I get home.

Love to you all!
